photoshoots

Recently i started charging for photoshoots and i've had a few people ask, so i figured i'd put the information up. it may seem like a lot at first, but honestly if you look at what other photographers are charging, its not that bad.

The sitting fee is $25 and hour.
Depending on how many pictures you want, the most i've done so far is 900 pictures in 4 hours; and out of all the 900 about 400 actually turned out pretty good.
So if you want 400 pictures, it might take 4 hours. I usually do about 300 to 400 in about 2 hours, but only 100 or so might turn out, and etc.

For all the pictures on a disk, touched up, it will be about $50 per 100 pictures.
It usually takes a while touching up pictures on photoshop and i could spend anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour on one picture. So theres where i'm getting that price.
If you dont want all the pictures, and want to see them first, let me know, and i'll put however many you want on a disk. (Basically its 50 cents a picture)

If you want prints, let me know. It can be anywhere from a wallet size to the size of your wall.
If there are anymore questions or you want to have a shoot, message me.
i'm not trying to be rude, but photoshoots are no longer free, so dont ask me for one.

twilight

updating sucks for me :P
i never have time!!
but i think i had one of my best photoshoots yet recently with Catherine & Nicole.
if you haven't seen the pictures, i was seriously stunned at how well they managed to turn out.
deviant or flickr will have them. if you've managed to find me on facebook, the majority of them are on there.
they were so kickass and did basically anything.
it was my twilight/vampire based shoot, so i was excited about that and first we started at the graveyard for her with the apple, and then walked over to this abandoned house. Now usually my models are too keen on breaking the rules, so when catherine suggested we go inside, i was seriously shocked. i was just going to stay outside of the house, but shit that house was cool!
(excuse me :P) and between them wrecking it and climbing all over it, i was beside myself. Nicole climbed on the wood planks
then we walked around the house, to a field, and beaten up wall.
There was some festival thing going on, so it was funny watching catherine walk around in a corset and fangs around the families. everytime she smiled she scared someone and it was sooo funny!
THEN the best part they climbed on these column things and i took their pictures there as they balanced on one column, ( you'll see below) and pretended to 'fight' if you want to call it that, while i was on a lower column shooting them.
sooo awesome. and meanwhile below us was another photographer taking pictures of a wedding couple
ha!
he took their picture too, it was quite entertaining.
god i love those girls and now you can!!

photoshoots

they're no longer free.
i think its kind of ridiculous to go take pictures of someone, and spend countless hours on touching up their pictures, for their use and then putting it all on a disk for free.
so many other people pay so much just for the sitting fee! not to mention the prints;
i've never had a sitting fee, and all the pictures you get on the disk you can go print yourself.
i'm getting nothing out of it, and it kind of stresses me out too, just to say.
i honesty dont mean to sound harsh, but its the truth.

so as of this past week,
no longer free. i'm sorry.
perfectly honest, i dont know how much to charge b/c of the fact every shoot is different.
i usually take 300-500 pictures in 3 hours.  It also depends on the amount of outfits, the location, etc .  it's a lot of time and effort, so you need to cut me some slack if you're now angry b/c you wanted a photoshoot, and never got one for free, or whatever.
if you are interested, just contact me somehow and i'll get back to you as soon as possible.

besides that,
photoshoot this saturday!

rant

it just really peeves me when someone not only takes my ideas, but also angers me in so many ways possible by attempting to out-do me.
good grief my emotions almost got the best of me today in that kind of situation.
and i must say i strongly dislike being talked down to by someone who doesn't know what the hell they're talking about.

besides that,
nothing new,
photoshoot a week from this saturday :)

5

its been a while!
started school this week, so i'm extremely busy; not to mention my past three unmentioned photoshoots i've had. Between my visit with Daphne to nordstroms where my bag got searched, to using a random farm off the street with Ansley, i'm thinking of taking a short break.
not even a month really. Oh never try to go to stores in a mall and expect to use your camera, they dont allow that. I helped out Jamie, (who might be my new makeup artist!) with some portfolio pictures.
Ansley's was my favorite to do. It was my idea of someone daydreaming in the middle of school, so she's at school, but not really??
just look at the pictures and you'll understand
and as usual, some from these :)

bubbles, mirrors, and balloons

in light of a recent event, all my images are going to be watermarked now.
you may not be able to see it all the time, but its there, hidden :)
i always thought watermarks were kind of offsetting to a photo, but i dont mind them anymore now.  i've been bad at updating; just trying to get some of the pictures touched up.
here are some from a recent shoot with the lovely sheree :)

just make sure to check out others here and here

asbestos

so recently my boyfriend, josh, and i decided that we'd go and take some pictures at an abandoned office building we found earlier this summer. the building reaches four stories and is actually one of the three or four main parts to an insane asylum that had been knocked down earlier, and i suppose thats where they kept their records or something, who knows. so we packed up, headed over there, and got into the building fine. we scoped the place out some to make sure there wasn't anyone else there, and then we moved all our props and equipment into this one small room.
but of course i heard some stupid noise, kind of freaky. so josh closed the door.
mind you the door knobs have all been taken out for some weird creepy reason. thats when we realized the door locked automatically, and that we were kind of stuck in there. i was freaking out some, because this place has asbestos all in it and its so nasty. lucky for us we had a window in our room, but we couldn't pry it open. josh was going to break it open, but the place is right next to a dog park, so people would hear the glass breaking. fortunately for us we were only on the second floor so, it wouldn't be that bad of a jump. somehow, he managed to pop the window open, thank god.
so we changed into our clothes and took the pictures, and got the hell out of there.

more later :)
